Colorado Springs, CO – the PLACE, a Colorado Springs non-profit that is ensuring all Colorado youth have safe housing, supportive relationships, and the opportunity for self-sufficiency and success, announces the appointment of Becky Treece as the new Chief Executive Officer, following a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors. This announcement marks the culmination of an extensive nationwide search, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to leadership excellence and dedication to its mission.
The search for a new CEO drew significant interest with over 85 applicants from across the country, reflecting the importance of the PLACE’s mission. Throughout the selection process, Treece distinguished herself with a clear vision for the organization, an inclusive leadership approach, and a dedication to the community the PLACE serves.
Treece, who has more than 15 years of experience in strategic planning, development, and communications within human services organizations, has a history of impactful roles at Care and Share Food Bank, TESSA, and Warren Village. Her tenure as Chief Development Officer at the PLACE was marked by her strong advocacy for the community and her role in enhancing the annual Off The Street fundraiser.
In her interim position as CEO, Treece has led with a focus on mission-driven growth and clear communication, which resonated with the board, staff leadership, and community partners.

Treece officially assumes the role on March 1, although she has been serving in an interim capacity since November 1.
