Two ways you can volunteer
The COVID-19 virus has impacted volunteer opportunities. Our team is exercising all safety precautions in, and around, our shelter. We will be more than happy walk you through the process of becoming a volunteer.
Groups
We will work with you and your group to do major projects that include painting, landscaping, deep cleaning in our dorms, construction, and more. Group volunteer opportunities do not require background checks and are great for group service projects.

Individuals
You want to make a difference by becoming a volunteer. You may have a desire to interact with the young people we serve, from cooking to receptionist to art or exercise.
How do you know if volunteering at The PLACE is the right fit?

- “I am dependable and consistent.”

You can now sign up to cook meals using the link below. Enter your email in the login name and your password to access the calendar. From here, you login you can navigate to the calendar and select a day and meal to cook for. Please sign up for meals no sooner than 3 business days in advance to make sure we can get it on the calendar. Should you need to call off a shift within 3 business days, please call the Shelter phone number.
