For Enterprise Zone Gifts
The Enterprise Zone tax credit lets you receive a 25% credit on your Colorado state taxes when you give to The Place. Combined with charitable income tax deductions, your gift can result in substantial tax savings. Here’s how it works:
- Applicable for donations of $250 or more.
- Make your check payable to the El Paso County Enterprise Zone AND put The Place in the memo line.
- Include the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number or Colorado Account Number (required).
- Mail your check to The Place and we will do the paperwork.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, Off The Street 2020 is almost here and we are excited for you to join us!
Starting at 7:30 AM on Thursday, July 16th we will be streaming LIVE right here. There are a few ways to participate and show your support for The Place.

Let us know that you will be watching our LIVE streaming event by filling out the registration form and checking “YES” in the “I will watch online” in the Additional Information section below. This is not a requirement to watch, but helps us know who is with us.
Breakfast-In-A-Bag?
Keeping with tradition, Picnic Basket is offering Breakfast-In-A-Bag for anyone who drops their donation off at The Place shelter, located at 423 E Cucharras St. between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM. We just need to know how many to plan for. Also in the Additional Information, just click “YES” to “I will bring my donation…” and we will have breakfast waiting for you! Can’t make it, you will be able to donate directly on the Off The Street webpage.
How YOU can participate
The Off The Street event is going to look a little different this year. Everyone’s safety is our top priority. Due to the COVID-19 virus, we will stream our event LIVE! Though we are sad we cannot be together on July 16th, we do hope you will still participate in our unique event. Here’s how:

Table Captain
Previously, the key to this event's success is "who" attends. THIS year, however, instead of attending, we need those you would normally invite to the breakfast to watch our streaming event. If you would normally "fill a table (or more) of ten guests, please ask them to come to this webpage to watch our video stream. Please contact us today for more details.

Many have asked to see the full video we shared (produced by Jon Eddy Productions) at the 2019 breakfast, while we were still known as Urban Peak Colorado Springs. Since becoming The Place, our mission remains the same — to spark the young people we work with to exit homelessness and live a self-determined, fulfilled life.
