Who We Are

At The PLACE, we walk alongside young people ages 15–24 who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the Pikes Peak Region creating safety, belonging, and real pathways forward. Our trauma-informed, youth-driven team meets each person where they are and helps them define goals that fit their life. Through a continuum of services—street outreach, a welcoming Drop-In Center, individualized case management, and a range of housing options including Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Re-Housing, Rental & Utility Assistance, and Transitional Living—we connect youth to what they need to stabilize, heal, and thrive. In partnership with families, schools, employers, and community organizations, we champion the strengths and potential of every young person and help them take confident steps toward independence.

Mission

Ignite the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives.

Vision

All Colorado youth have safe housing, supportive relationships, and the opportunity for self-sufficiency and success.

Staff

Behind every meal, safe bed, and counseling session is a team of people who care deeply about young people’s futures. The PLACE’s strength comes from a dedicated blend of experienced staff, interim leaders, and committed board members.

Our staff provide the day-to-day care that ensures programs meet the needs of youth. Interim leaders bring fresh energy and expertise during this time of transition. And our board members guide the mission, safeguard our values, and ensure accountability to the community.

Together, this collective leadership is steering The PLACE with commitment, compassion, and vision. Even as we move through change, our focus never wavers: every young person deserves a safe place to sleep, a trusted adult to lean on, and the opportunity to thrive. With this foundation, we are not only meeting today’s needs but also looking forward to a strong and impactful future for the youth we serve.
