Youth Services: Your Safety is Our Concern
At The PLACE, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. We’re here to provide youth aged 15 to 24 with resources to find a safe and stable environment while guiding them toward a self-determined life filled with opportunities.
Comprehensive Youth Services
Under our Outreach, Shelter, and Housing programs, we offer a range of critical services tailored to help each young person carve their path toward a fulfilling life.
Case Management
Upon joining our program, every youth gains access to dedicated case managers. These trusted adults work closely with youth to identify strengths and develop personalized plans for transitioning out of homelessness. They serve as advocates, connecting youth with essential treatments and services to enhance stability and health.
Physical & Mental Health Care
While engaged in our programs, Individuals can access medical and mental health services through referrals and individualized case management. From mental health appointments, addiction recovery groups, and weekly healthy living classes, we provide comprehensive support to address both physical and mental well-being.
Family & Life Skills
Our life skills support includes education on healthy living, relationships, sex education, and financial literacy. Family reunification assistance is a top priority.
Education
Our programs assist youth in re-enrolling in school, pursuing GEDs, or advancing towards higher education or trade certification.
Employment
We offer employment support to equip youth with essential skills for long-term self-sufficiency, including resume-building, workplace behavior, and interview techniques.
Safe Place Support
In times of crisis, youth can access Safe Place support at any Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) or YMCA location across Colorado Springs, Fountain, Monument, and Falcon. Whether through in-person visits or texting for assistance, our staff and volunteers are readily available to provide support and guidance.
